I bought a couple of these at a local store to use for making truffles. The size and shape are excellent, but the molds themselves are flimsy -- I've had cavities break as early as the first use. It's a disappointment, but I'm switching to other kinds because these just don't hold up.

I purchased these molds to make truffles for a youth group fundraiser. I had hoped they were as good as the Make N Mold brand molds. I have been using Wilton products since I was a child. I usually am very happy with the quality. When I see a review of "I hate it" I normally attribute it to user error. With this being said, I have been making chocolate truffles for years with many different molds. These, by far, are the cheapest molds I have ever used. Upon removing the industrial strength staple (yes, they were wood staples...) that holds the cardboard product advertisement, I cracked the first mold along the edge. This only cracked the edge so the molds were still viable. After completing my first tray, I removed the truffles. (Please keep in mind, it takes a delicate hand to make truffles.) The tray cracked 3 times. It had to be thrown away. In comparison, I have used the same Make N Mold Cordial trays for 5 years straight and have not had one crack. I am very disappointed in the product quality. Shame on Wilton for even putting their name on this product.

I bought this to use to make smaller candle tarts in to fit in my small plug in tart burners. These work really well for that and I am pleased with my purchase. Will buy again if I need a new one.
